We interrupt our normal storyline to bring you this (almost) topical strip.

i think we learned a lot in this strip:
first, twiggles can fly.
second, he flies by waving his fat tail (will this require a re-evaluation of classic physics?)
third, these fellow live in a tree above the clouds
fourth, cobbes hat is securely attached to his head.
nick know how much i absolutely LOVE his artwork and i think his drawing skills are unbelievably good. i don’t think any amount of training and practice can let someone get the kind of ability he has to put personality into his work.
but, having said all that — i think you are breathing great life into these strips and i think the style is perfect for the comic. i’m really enjoying the drawings and it seems completely natural to me. it’s even dare i say perhaps a bit more fun to check out the new strips if only because there is an element of danger involved in the drawings, much in the way watching someone do competetive ice skating when someone does a tricky manuever that could result in an epic crash.
Thank you mouser - your kind words and thoughtful comments are greatly appreciated.
In response:
1. we’ve seen him fly once or twice, but he prefers the stretch Hummer where possible
2. the tail is an integral part of the whole undertaking, much like a beaver’s is for swimming I imagine
3. very low cloud that day
4. because that’s where he keeps his gum
and I _think_ I’m flattered by your final comment
Look out for Thursday’s triple axel while juggling chainsaws.

If I were you, I’d park the car in the garage on the 1st. Twiggles was last seen with a packet of fig newtons.
