Beyond
The rim of the star-light
My love
Is wand’ring in star-flight
I know
He’ll find in star-clustered reaches
Love,
Strange love a star woman teaches.
I know
His journey ends never
His star trek
Will go on forever.
But tell him
While he wanders his starry sea
Remember, remember me.
Ah, they don’t write ‘em like that any more. Who knows what these lyrics are from?

Some idiot tried to hack the site yesterday. Many many thanks to Tom for spotting it almost immediately.

the luck of the draw
would I be showing of my lack of geekiness if I said I have no idea of the source of these lyrics (!?)

Lack of geekiness or lack of “oldness”
There is a massive clue in the lyrics themselves…

not lack of oldness! …well I can see star trek in there but I had a deprived youth & didnt see much tele and as an adult watched only occasional episodes - never saw any of the films (lack of geekiness?). I dont remember it from the intro, I think you’ll have to tell us - it looks like other viewers are to young or ungeeky too!

Well believe it or not, the Star Trek TV theme tune had lyrics - and there they are. I believe it was even Gene Roddenbury who wrote them.
Luckily after that he just stuck to scripts
