“Colour”?
For some reason I always assumed that these birds are American, as the humor (humour) hasn’t quite been deadpan sadistic enough to be a Brit’s.
Besides quite a few references to American culture..
(not hubris - I’m in Europe myself, but I like the wholesome funness of this strip.)

Interesting! I am thoroughly British, although living in Canada for the last year.
For some reason T+C usually bring out the gentler side of my humour.
