Actually, I have some quite nice “Caran D’Ache” pencils that are water soluble. So you colour-in, then wash with a damp paintbrush to soften the scribbly lines. Unfortunately when it came to washing over today’s strip, I discovered all the water had evaporated from the jam jar I use.

you need to buy some softer color pencils.. ones that aren’t so “sharp”
